Vacation Bible School

Nineteen children had a wonderful time at Vacation Bible School learning about Mary and her special role in our faith. Through stories, activities, songs, and prayer, they discovered some of Mary’s apparitions around the world and the messages of faith, hope, and love she shared. Special thanks to Ms. Castillo and those who helped make this faith-filled experience for our kids possible!

Parish Family Staff Happy Hour

On August 14, our Parish Family staff gathered for a fun and relaxing happy hour at Wing Dome in Greenwood. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another better, strengthen connections, and build positive working relationships as they continue serving our Parish Family together.

St. Benedict Parishioners Notice

In April 2019, St. Benedict Parish designated potential rebates from the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) for improvements to the front of the church. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was not completed, and the restricted funds remain unused.

The St. Benedict Parish Finance Council proposes removing the restriction on these funds so they may be used to support parish operations. If you have any questions or concerns about this proposal, please contact Dani D’Amelio at ddamelio@parishfamily14.org by August 31, 2026. Parish Family BBQ Recap

The day began with our special one Parish Family Mass at St. Alphonsus, where we gathered to worship together as one community. Following Mass, about 350 parishioners came together for the Parish Family BBQ. It was a joy to see children, teens, parents, grandparents, longtime parishioners, and those who are new to our Parish Family sharing a meal, reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered to set up, welcome guests, help with registration, serve food, and stay afterward to clean up. We are also deeply grateful to everyone who brought dishes to share. From the fresh salads and hearty main dishes to the delicious homemade pies, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts, the tables were overflowing with wonderful food that everyone enjoyed.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Parish Family BBQ such a joyful and memorable celebration!

In July 2024, our Parish Family began a new journey together as part of the Partners in the Gospel initiative. What started as a transition soon became an opportunity for renewal, collaboration, friendship, and deeper faith.
