Family Adoration

Fri, 25 Sep 2026 23:04:59 GMT

You are all invited to Family Adoration! Kids, parents and caregivers are encouraged to visit Jesus for 5 minutes or more! All are welcome!

What is Adoration?

Adoration is spending quiet, personal time with Jesus, who

is truly present in the Eucharist (the Blessed Sacrament) displayed in a special golden stand called a monstrance.

What can you do at Adoration?

Adoration is just like visiting your best friend. Greet Jesus,

by genuflecting, then sit or kneel. You can pray silently, read the bible or prayer book, pray the rosary with the group or “just be” with Jesus.

Why should kids come to Adoration?

Builds a Personal Relationship: It helps children realize that Jesus is real and present, transforming Him from a figure in a storybook to a friend they can visit.
Fosters Belief in the Real Presence: Regular adoration helps children understand that the host is truly Jesus, strengthening their faith in the Eucharist.
Learn to Pray in Silence: It offers a rare, quiet space for children to listen to God and develop a personal prayer life.
Model Reverence: Children learn how to act in church—kneeling, bowing, and sitting in quiet, respectful adoration.
Welcoming God's Love: Jesus welcomes children just as they are—wiggles, noises, and all—offering them a place to feel His love, joy, and peace.

The photos show Jim and Patty then and now. St. Alphonsus witnessed the beginning of their marriage and had the joy of welcoming them back six decades later.

May God continue to bless Jim and Patty with love and many more happy years together!

Advent Weekends Special Mass Times

Fri, 25 Sep 2026 21:29:34 GMT

This Advent, we will spend three weekends worshiping together! On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weekends of Advent, we will celebrate ALL Sunday Masses at one location only . This is a radical idea, yes, but one that emerged through prayer and discernment by the Pastoral Leadership Council and Parish Family staff.

Why are we doing this?

For these three weekends, we want to gather everyone together for two reasons: to help parishioners become more familiar with one another, and to give everyone the experience of worshiping together as one Parish Family!

An Important Note:

THIS IS NOT ABOUT CONSOLIDATING LOCATIONS. It is simply about coming together as one community. This arrangement will not be permanent.

How will it work?

Each weekend, we will celebrate three Masses at one location. We will use different Sunday Mass times so as not to favor any particular parish. Parish staff and volunteers will help coordinate carpools for parishioners who need transportation.

Need a Ride? Have an Extra Seat?

Fri, 25 Sep 2026 21:22:01 GMT

We’re organizing a new Carpooling Ministry to help everyone stay connected to parish life especially older parishioners and others who are unable to drive.

If you can offer a ride or need transportation, please sign up !

Carpools can help parishioners attend weekday and weekend Masses, parish events, and other activities while building friendships and caring for one another along the way.

Sharing an extra seat may be a simple gesture, but it can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life!

St. Benedict Parishioners Notice

Wed, 12 Aug 2026 15:44:44 GMT

In April 2019, St. Benedict Parish designated potential rebates from the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) for improvements to the front of the church. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was not completed, and the restricted funds remain unused.

The St. Benedict Parish Finance Council proposes removing the restriction on these funds so they may be used to support parish operations. If you have any questions or concerns about this proposal, please contact Dani D’Amelio at ddamelio@parishfamily14.org by August 31, 2026. Thank you for your continued support of St. Benedict Parish and its ministries.

Parish Family BBQ Recap

Wed, 15 Jul 2026 23:28:31 GMT

The day began with our special one Parish Family Mass at St. Alphonsus, where we gathered to worship together as one community. Following Mass, about 350 parishioners came together for the Parish Family BBQ. It was a joy to see children, teens, parents, grandparents, longtime parishioners, and those who are new to our Parish Family sharing a meal, reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered to set up, welcome guests, help with registration, serve food, and stay afterward to clean up. We are also deeply grateful to everyone who brought dishes to share. From the fresh salads and hearty main dishes to the delicious homemade pies, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts, the tables were overflowing with wonderful food that everyone enjoyed.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Parish Family BBQ such a joyful and memorable celebration!

Our Parish Family is celebrating two blessed years together!

test@4lpi.com (Web Team) — Tue, 23 Jun 2026 15:09:25 GMT

In July 2024, our Parish Family began a new journey together as part of the Partners in the Gospel initiative. What started as a transition soon became an opportunity for renewal, collaboration, friendship, and deeper faith.

As we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary as a Parish Family, we pause with grateful hearts to remember the blessings God has poured upon our communities, and we invite everyone to reflect and discuss among yourselves:

What have been your most memorable Parish Family events or experiences?
Share the moments, celebrations, and gatherings that brought joy, inspiration, and lasting memories to your faith journey.

Did you meet more parishioners and gain new friends along the way?
Reflect on the new friendships and meaningful connections formed within our growing Parish Family community.

What ministry, celebration, or moment brought you closer to God?
Tell us about a special experience that deepened your relationship with God and strengthened your spiritual life.

How has our Parish Family journey strengthened your faith?
Describe how worshiping, serving, and journeying together has helped your faith grow over the past two years.

In what ways have you witnessed Christ working through our united communities?
Share examples of compassion, service, unity, and love that revealed Christ’s presence in our Parish Family.

What hopes and prayers do you have for the future of our Parish Family?
Express your dreams, intentions, and prayers for the continued growth and mission of our Parish Family.
