Nineteen children had a wonderful time at Vacation Bible School learning about Mary and her special role in our faith. Through stories, activities, songs, and prayer, they discovered some of Mary’s apparitions around the world and the messages of faith, hope, and love she shared. Special thanks to Ms. Castillo and those who helped make this faith-filled experience for our kids possible!

Parish Family Updates

Partners in the Gospel is a strategic pastoral planning effort taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church. It is a significant process of restructuring to maximize our existing pastoral leadership and provide a sustainable structure for the future. It will allow us to keep our parishes and schools vibrant and mission-focused.

Recent Highlights

  • May 17 - Parish Family Data Snapshot, which includes key information about our pastoral area, demographics, and parish resources, was shared to all. Read it here.
  • May 23 - Fr. Parrish hosted a Data Night, which was an opportunity for everyone to learn more about Parish Family data, clarify questions and concerns, and discuss ways to better support the mission and ministries of our parish community.
  • June 4- Fr. Parrish hosted the first Listening Session, where 35 parishioners gathered to share their insights on the opportunities and challenges facing our Parish Family.
  • June 11 - The Pastoral Leadership Council (PLC) held its monthly meeting and began planning for the full Parish Family Listening Sessions to be held in September. The council discussed potential questions, approaches, and scheduling.
  • July 12 - We celebrated our Parish Family BBQ which began with a special mass at St. Alphonsus. Following Mass, about 350 parishioners came together for the Parish Family BBQ.

Coming Up

  • Our Parish Family Pastoral Leadership Council (PLC) will meet on August 13 to prepare for our upcoming Listening Sessions.
  • This September, we will host Listening Sessions focused on identifying the opportunities before us and the challenges we are called to address together as a Parish Family. Additional details and the schedule will be shared soon. We encourage everyone to participate and lend their voice to these important conversations. We hope to see you there!
