Youth Confirmation

Who is ready for Confirmation?
Confirmation preparation is open to youth in Grade 7 and above who have been baptized Catholic and are ready to take the next step in their faith journey. (Additionally, if in grade 6 and an older sibling is going through at the same time permission may be requested.)
Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, we are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit and more fully equipped to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
When do preparation classes take place?
Confirmation classes for the parish family will take place Sundays after the 11am mass at St. Benedict in the school's auditorium (unless otherwise noted). The program also includes a full-day retreat as an important part of the Confirmation preparation journey.
2026/27 confirmation class dates are as follows:
October 25 (candidates and parents/guardians - sponsors welcome)
November 8
November 15 (parents/guardians only - sponsors welcome)
December 6 After 10 am mass at St. John (location TBA)
December 13 After 10 am mass at St. Alphonsus (location TBA)
December 20 After 10am mass at St. Benedict
January 10
January 17 or 24th (date to be finalized)
February 21
March 7 or 14 (parents/guardians only - sponsors welcome) (date to be finalized)
April 11
April 17 (Saturday) TENTATIVE retreat
April 18 (candidates and parents/godparents)
May 2 REHEARSAL (in St. Benedict church)
May 8 TENTATIVE Confirmation Mass at St. James Cathedral
All dates subject to change based on numerous factors including school schedules and bishop availability.
